HowToDressMyBaby is a clothing-advice tool for parents. Based on today's weather, your baby's age, and what you're doing, it suggests what to dress your baby in. It is general guidance — not medical advice.
General guidance, not medical advice
HowToDressMyBaby gives general clothing recommendations. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. If you have health concerns about your baby, talk to your pediatrician or another qualified health professional.
Every baby is different
Recommendations can't cover every baby's individual differences. Your baby's comfort matters more than any plan. Use your own judgment and adjust based on how your baby actually seems — check their chest or the back of their neck to see if they're comfortable, rather than only their hands and feet.
Extreme weather doesn't become safe
In very hot or very cold conditions, our clothing suggestions help you dress appropriately — but no clothing plan can make dangerous exposure safe. Keep outings short in extreme weather and use your best judgment.
Special situations
For premature babies, babies who are unwell, or babies with special medical conditions, follow the advice of your health professional rather than a general recommendation.
Car seats
Our guidance about car-seat safety doesn't replace the instructions from your car-seat manufacturer. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and the vehicle manual.
When in doubt
If you're unsure, check how your baby actually feels and adjust the plan as needed. If something about their health or comfort concerns you, contact a qualified health professional.
